Hahn Visits Belgrade

Commissioner for European Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn will visit Belgrade on Dec. 5 to meet with Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, and attend the signing of a financial agreement to support reforms of Serbia's administration worth EUR80 million.

This is the first contract to finance the reform of Serbia's public administration based on sectoral budget support, under the rules defined by a new Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA2). The document will be signed by the Serbian minister in charge of the country's EU integration, and the European Commission's Director for the Western Balkans, Genoveva Ruiz Calavera.
The European Union (EU) Delegation in Serbia said the EU enlargment commissioner would also meet with students and representatives of the Serbian academic community during his visit to Belgrade. Hahn is also expected to visit Belgrade's Botanical Gardens and the Green Pavilion, reconstructed with the Union's assistance.
