Entrepreneur Srdjan Milovanovic is New Owner of Prva and O2 TV Stations

The Greek company Antena Group has reached an agreement with entrepreneur Srdjan Milovanovic about the sale of 100 percent of founders' rights of the Antena Group in Serbia and Montenegro, it was announced on the b92.net web-site in the evening of Dec. 4.

The announcement reads that the Antena Group owned Prva Televizija, O2 TV, Prva TV Crna Gora, Plan Radio, six cable channels and three portals: Prva.rs, O2tv.rs and B92.net.

It was added that the value of the acquisition was EUR180 million, and that the process of obtaining licenses from regulatory bodies was under way.

The new owner, Srdjan Milovanovic, has stated that the same team of people, who are known as top professionals and some of the best in the domestic media industry, would continue to carry out the ambitious plans for strengthening the company's leading position in the country and abroad.

He said he was looking forward to new accomplishments in the forthcoming period, for the benefit of viewers and listeners, and promised them an even more varied and better program contents.

The owner of Antena Group, Theodore Kyriakou, thanked the "great team of professionals in Serbia, who have enabled this media company to become a leader in the region."

The statement reads that the selling of founders' rights was part of the Antena Group's business strategy, in order to focus on the further development of its core activities.

The group acquired the Fox Televizija in Serbia at the end of 2009, which changed its name to Prva Srpska Televizija in September 2010.

Antena Group was founded in Greece in 1988, and has developed into an international group that invests in leading commercial television stations, theme channels, digital media, audio and visual production, radio, publishing and other activities.
